5 Family Memebers Die of Suspected Food Poisoning in Ogun State
Five members of the same family in Ila
Odo, a border community in Odo Otin Local
Government Area of Ondo state died under
mysterious circumstances on Tuesday,
witnesses confirm. According to sources in
the town, the deceased were members of
one Idowu family in the town which is
located along Osogbo/Ilorin road. The
deceased persons included the head of the
family, identified as Akanbi Idowu, his
second wife, his son and two grand
children.
According to reports, the family all ate the
same dinner on Monday night and started
having severe stomach pains almost
immediately after the meal. They were said
to have also developed other symptoms of
illness.
Confident that their condition would get
better, the source added,“they didn't bother
to seek any medical attention; only for
three of them to die in the night before
daybreak.”
It was the news of the sudden death of the
trio that woke the community from sleep
amid confusion and worries. By the evening
of the same day, two members of the family
also died, fueling speculations of an
outbreak of epidemic or mysterious disease
in the town.
However, some sympathizers insinuated
food poisoning though they could not
confirm the meal the victims ate before
death came calling in the night.
The source added that the grand children
that later died on Tuesday were in bad
condition and could not actually explain
the meal they ate the previous night before
they too gave up the ghost.
This is not the only mysterious disease to
mysteriously kill people in the south-west
recently. In Ondo state, a mysterious
ailment also claimed the lives of at least
25 people in the last week though it has
been confirmed by Ondo state Governor,
Olusegun Mimmiko that the disease was
caused by ethanol poisoning.
The disease in Ondo state has been
contained and no deaths have been
reported lately. As at press time, the Osun
state government has yet to issue a
statement on the deaths of the five family
members.

Parents of Indian boy with rare ailment pray for his death
The parents of a 12-year-old Indian boy,
Mahendra Ahirwar, are praying for his death
instead of the life of misery he is living.
According to the sad parents, Ahirwar is
suffering from a rare condition » that sees
his head hanging at a 180-degree angle from
his body.
The parents, Mukesh and Sumitra, claim
Mahendra has seen 50 doctors but none have
given a diagnosis to his strange condition.
The desperate parents therefore wish he
would die rather he died than continue to
suffer.
Mahendra Ahirwar, from Madhya Pradesh in
central India, has a weak backbone which
means he can't stand or walk and is
restricted to a sitting position and can just
crawl but needs help to eat and go to the
toilet.
His 35-year-old mother, Sumitra says:
"I cannot see him suffer anymore. Watching his
life is devastating. He cannot do anything by
himself. He just sits in a corner of the room all
day. It's no life.
I have to carry him like a baby everywhere but
he is 12 years old, how will I carry him when he
grows even older? If doctors cannot treat my
son, it is better that God takes him."
But in a shocking twist, members of the
community have blamed Mahendra's
condition on his father's past sins and
believe he is to blame for his son's
disability » , despite having three other
healthy children.
His father, Mukesh says:
"Our other children had all been born normally
with no problems, so we never thought to consult
a doctor or have an ultrasound done with
Mahendra, and he was born at home just like his
siblings.
At first we thought he was just a little weak and
he'd be fine in time, but by his third birthday he
wasn't able to keep his head upright at all.
People say bad things about him, and they often
laugh at him. It really hurts us.
We cannot tolerate people's attitudes and
discrimination. They say I must have committed
some terrible sins and this is why he is
suffering, it’s awful."
Shocking: Couple Stab 10-year- old Girl In Her Private Part
A 10-year-old girl, Chidinma, has been
admitted at an undisclosed hospital after a
couple – Eucheria Chukwuma and Jerry
Oko-Oboh – allegedly beat her up and
stabbed her in the private parts with a
broken bottle.
It was learnt that the couple and the
victim’s family lived on Joshua Street,
Agbabiaka, in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos.
It was learnt that the couple assaulted the
minor for allegedly fiddling with the vagina
of their three-year-old daughter, Peace.
Chidinma, who denied the allegation, had
played with Peace at about 7pm on April 6.
It was alleged that the toddler later cried
and told her parents that Chidinma fiddled
with her private parts.
Angered by the complaint, 30-year-old
Chukwuma, it was learnt, went to
Chidinma’s mother, Ofia, demanding that
Chidinma follow her to her room.
A few minutes later, Ofia reportedly heard
her daughter screaming and rushed to
Chukwuma’s apartment to see what was
wrong.
On getting there, the door was said to have
been locked by the couple who reportedly
beat up the victim repeatedly with punches.
Not satisfied, the wife allegedly stabbed
Chidinma in the private parts and smeared
them with pepper.
Our correspondent was told that the couple
fled the neighbourhood when blood started
gushing from Chidinma’s vagina. They were
later trailed and arrested by the police after
the attack was reported at the Okokomaiko
Police station.
The police said Chukwuma, in a statement
she voluntarily made at the station,
confessed to the crime, saying she became
furious when the girl declined comments
about Peace’s allegation.
She and her husband were subsequently
arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s
Court on three counts bordering on assault.
The offence, according to the police
prosecutor, Olusoji Ojaokomo, is punishable
under sections 171, 243 and 409 of the
Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria,
2011.
The charges read in part, “That you,
Eucheria Chukwuma, 30 and Jerry Oko-
Oboh, 32 on April 6, 2015, at about 9pm on
Joshua Street, Agbabiaka, Oke-Agbo,
Ajangbadi, in the Ojo Magisterial District,
did conspire to commit felony and
unlawfully assaulted one 10-year-old
Chidinma, by beating her up with fist blows
in her eye, which caused her harm.
“That you, on the same date, time and
place, in the aforementioned magisterial
district, did unlawfully assault one
Chindima by stabbing her with a broken
bottle in her private parts.”
The accused persons, however, pleaded not
guilty to the offence.
The presiding magistrate, Mr. P.A.
Adekomaya, admitted them to bail in the
sum of N100, 000 with a surety each in like
sum. He added that they be remanded in
prison custody until their bail conditions
were perfected.
The case was adjourned till May 13, 2015
for mention.

birth to a girl and her face looks exactly
like Lord Ganesha.
“Everybody is saying she is an incarnation
of the god.
“This is why whoever hears about her is
coming here to get a glimpse of the baby
and are making whatever offerings
possible.”
The girl, who was reportedly born at 7am
on Thursday, is said to be the fourth child
in a so far ordinary and healthy family.
Her facial lump is between her eyes and
appears to have divided her nose in two
when the girl was still in the womb.
Doctors will examine the baby girl to find
out the extent of her condition and whether
they need to operate.
They have warned the condition could be a
genetic mutation triggered by malnutrition
and increased pollution, ANI reported.
A 2003 report by the environmental
magazine Down to Earth said workers in
Aligarh, an industrial zone, faced poor
sewage works and ‘nightmarish working
conditions’.
Ganesha is one of the best-known gods in
Hinduism and is worshipped by millions as
the deity of wisdom and intelligence.

GIRL GIVES BIRTH TO A SON AFTER HAVING SEX WITH A SNAKE
IT sounds unbelievable, but from the account
of 19-year-old Kehinde Adegoke, it really
happened. The teenager who is an indigene
of Ogbomoso in Oyo State, but whose
parents live in Minna, Niger State, has told
Sunday Tribune how she had sex with a
snake in her dream for four years and
eventually got pregnant without any physical
relationship with any man.
Not only that, Kehinde was delivered of a
baby boy in the early hours of March 28,
2015. The baby, however, was not brought
strangeness with it as it had two teeth
protruding from the gum in its lower jaw. It
however died on Sunday, March 29 without
any ill health pinned to it.
For four years, Kehinde said she had to deal
with a strange spirit which always came to
her in a dream in form of a snake. She said
the snake would turn into a Fulani man who
would have sex with her, and afterwards
transform into a snake, before crawling
away.
She disclosed that she had to leave Niger
State in October 2014 for Ogbomoso, when
she suddenly found herself pregnant without
having physical intercourse.

strange disease ravages ondo,28 feared dead
The Ondo State Government is working hard to
control a strange disease which suddenly
broke out in the Ode-Irele community of Ondo
state, leading to the death of no fewer than 28
people in the past three days.
Residents say the disease broke out three
days ago and spread rapidly around the
community, killing its victim within 24 hours.
The cause of the disease remained unknown.
Experts say preliminary reports from victims
revealed neurologic clinical symptoms:
blindness, and loss of consciousness.
Ebola Alert, an evidence-driven group of
volunteer professionals who helped with the
Ebola Virus Disease interventions in the
country, said 28 people have died from the
disease.
But the State Health Commissioner, Dayo
Adeyanju, put the number of dead victims at
12.
Mr. Adeyanju, while briefing newsmen in
Akure, said preliminary investigations showed
that the disease is not Ebola “as it does not
manifest any of its symptoms, but it attacks
the central nervous system of the victims”.
He said the state government, after getting
information on the disease, immediately
deployed officials who took samples from
victims which was sent to Lagos for
laboratory analysis to help understand the
nature of the disease.
Mr. Adeyanju, who warned against spreading
false information on social media, said the
government is on top of the situation, and
advised people in the council area to report
any strange illness to the nearest health
facility.
He assured that the government is also doing
its best to contain the disease from further
spreading out of the town while those infected
were being quarantined at the General
Hospital, Irele, with other patients moved out
of the facility.
The Health Commissioner also advised people
of the area to avoid handling dead bodies at
this period to help contain further spread of
the disease.
A journalist who visited the affected
community Thursday, April 16, said he was
told by residents that the ailment had spiritual
undertone.
“Community leaders said some people broke
into a shrine, and the god became angry with
them, striking all those people who have
hands in the act,” the journalist said, asking
not to be named.
“Our team also saw people performing rituals
in the community. They believe that the ritual
will appease the god and that the disease will
end.”
But the state’s Commissioner for Information,
Kayode Akinmade, said he was not aware of
any spiritual dimension to the development.
“All I can tell you is that medical experts are
on ground, attending to victims and doing all
the necessary tests. Government is working
hard to contain the disease, and I can tell you
that it is under control,” Mr. Akinmade told
PREMIUM TIMES.
Ebola Alert later posted an update on its
twitter handle on Thursday night saying the
disease is under control and that its cause
was being investigated.
The organisation said the Federal Ministry of
Health, the World Health Organisation, and
the National Centre for Disease Control had
been alerted of the outbreak.
jim iyke reported missing
Actor Jim Iyke is reported to
be missing in the Yangadou Rainforest in the
Republic Of Congo. The actor was in the
remote area filming an action / adventure film
titled 'Mother Africa'.
Following a dispute with the director of the
film, he stormed away from the secure
compound into the rainforest. At the time of
print, the actor has been missing for
approximately 24 hours. A search and rescue
helicopter has been dispatched to the area in
addition to ground teams canvasing the
jungle.
A local Congo man hired to provide security
on the set requested to remain anonymous,
but provided a brief initial report regarding
the actors disappearance to the Senegal
Press. He described how the set production
manager initially mandated that the crew keep
the actors whereabouts private in hopes that
he would return after a brief absence for
personal time. As the hours passed, concerns
for his safety mounted because rebel groups
are common in the jungle region.
15!!! or 50!!
A 'proud' mum posted these photos of her
daughter on twitter a few hours ago and
wrote "My baby is 15 today'. Of course, many
asked her how this grown person could be 15
and she replied that she was born in 2000. 1,
she doesn't look 15 and 2, if she really is,
then that's an inappropriate outfit for a 15
year old girl to wear...and they told her that.
Well, she posted it on social media so she
will get our opinions whether asked for it or
not...lol. What do you think?
